Giving—and Saying— “Thanks”

With the Thanksgiving holiday season upon us, we at Clean Fuels National want to take a moment and say just how thankful we are for our hardworking employees, the technicians that keep going until the job is done and done right, and for our customers – the whole reason Clean Fuels exists. In addition to Clean Fuels National, the company GasBuddy has partnered with fuel retailers this Thanksgiving season to show their customers how thankful they are as well.

To those ends, on November 15, Cumberland Farms and GasBuddy partnered to host the first “TANKS-giving” at the Cumberland Farms station located in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Motorists using the GasBuddy app on their smartphones received up to $20 of free fuel per vehicle – a very generous gift from Cumberland Farms and GasBuddy on the occasion of this Thanksgiving season.

Ai Haseotes, CEO of Cumberland Farms, said: “As Cumberland Farms originated in New England, Thanksgiving is a holiday close to our heart. We are so grateful for our loyal customers, and there is no better way to thank them than to ease their holiday stress this year with GasBuddy by helping to fill up their tanks before they hit the road.” TANKS-giving is GasBuddy’s national Thanksgiving promotion, providing United States’ motorists free or discounted gasoline across the country, particularly in cities named “Plymouth.” On November 15, “Pay With GasBuddy” users were given an additional discount on their respective fuel purchases. TANKS-giving is based on GasBuddy’s previous Tank Takeover events that have occurred in cities across the country, affording thousands upon thousands of motorists free fuel.

And Cumberland Farms is not the only company joining in GasBuddy’s efforts this Thanksgiving. Gulf Oil has joined forces with the “Pay With GasBuddy” app to also provide thousands of dollars in free fuel to its customers in the Northeast. The first giveaway event was scheduled for Tuesday, November 21, in the greater Worcester, Massachusetts area, and the second for the following Tuesday, November 28, in New Haven, Connecticut. Nikki Fales, Director of Marketing for Gulf Oil, said, “With a record number of Americans hitting the road for the holidays, we are thrilled to work with GasBuddy to give motorists something extra to be thankful for prior to them embarking on one of their biggest drives of the year.” And a generous “thanks” is among all of the things each of us is after this year and always. Happy Thanksgiving and a blessed holiday season to you and yours from the Clean Fuels National family.
